A fast-paced journey involving some long driving days but the rewards are great. The trip takes in Cuba’s key cities and is punctuated with forays into small-town Cuba while following the ‘revolutionary trail’ to Santa Clara, Santiago and Castro’s mountain-top Commandancia. Eastern Cuba is an area that comparatively few tourists visit, with a more Afro-Caribbean feel. Treat yourself to a few days on some of Cuba’s best beaches before heading off for your Cuban odyssey.
