RELAX IN TRINIDAD

Days 1-3 - Port Of Spain

You will be welcomed on arrival and take a private transfer to Carnettas Inn (Riverside Room, BB) for three nights.

While here you will have the chance to experience a number of optional tours including a cultural Port of Spain city tour including a tour of the Angustura factory, kayaking or cycling in the Chaguaramas area and definite must is a trip to the Caroni Swamp to see Trinidad's national bird, the Scarlet Ibis.

Alternatively, if you would prefer then just take time to enjoy Port of Spain yourself, there’s plenty to see and do in and around the city. Some of our favourite highlights include Queens Park Savannah, the Magnificent Seven, the Botanic Gardens and Zoo, the Museum which houses the national art collection, and further west, St James is the (other) city that never sleeps. You may also be able to visit some of the Steel Pan Bands and watch them rehearse for the Trinidad Carnival in February.

Days 4-7 - Grande Riviere

In the morning private transfer to Mount Plaisir Estate (Loft Suite, BB) in Grande Riviere for 4 nights. 

Grande Riviere has to be one of the best places in the Caribbean to see giant Leatherback Turtles lay eggs and hatch.  On some nights literally hundreds of these turtles come to shore.  The hotel is right on the beach so if you wake up early enough you may just see a turtle during day light.  This locations is a beautiful base from where you can take day trips to explore the jungle, waterfalls and fabulous Northern coastline.  Pirogue trips can be arranged to deserted beaches adjacent to Grande Riviere.

Day 8 - Return

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
