BARRIER REEF SAILING

Featuring: Moho Cay Lodge, Hunting Cay, Tom Owens Cay, Ranguana Cay, Laughing Bird Cay

Day 1 - Moho Cay Lodge

In the early morning, start the first leg of your sailing adventure. From Moho Cay Lodge, board the fully crewed and staffed luxury catamaran where you will spend the next four and a half days sailing Belize’s southern reef. From Port Honduras Marine Reserve, head towards the Sapodilla Cays Marine Reserve. First night anchor, Hunting Cay.

Day 2 - Hunting Cay

The brilliant turquoise waters inside one of the largest continuous barrier reefs create a pristine, protected cruising ground. The sailing is a breeze and there are hundreds of sandy cays for anchoring all within the reef. Second night anchor, Tom Owen’s Cay.

Day 3 - Tom Owens Cay

The reef has an absolute abundance of sea life, schools of tropical fish and coral gardens thrive here. Everywhere you go, snorkelling is excellent, lobster and snapper abound. Around sheltered cays you can explore the shallow areas in a sea kayak or dinghy. Third night anchor, Ranguana Cay.

Day 4 - Ranguana Cay

In the morning, head to Little Water Cay and Queen Cay pass where it is possible to see the giant whale sharks. Make for Laughing Bird Cay for your last night anchorage on the reef.

Day 5 - Laughing Bird Cay

Set sail for Placencia and extend your stay in a hotel here or fly to Belize City for your onward flight.
