Tegucigalpa

The capital of Honduras sits in a valley ringed by mountains. Close by, La Tigra National Park is one of the most beautiful places in the country with abundant cloud forest, orchids, bromeliaceius flowers, arborescent ferns, moss and 200-plus bird species.

Pacific Lowlands

Honduras dips into the Pacific with a 124 km coastline along the Golfo de Fonseca. With hills running along its land side, this strip of lowland forms part of the hot coastal plain that passes through several Central American countries. The mangrove areas here attract lots of wonderful wildlife and are perfect for touring and fishing trips.
