Days 1 to 3 - Antigua
Fly from London via Madrid with Iberia to Guatemala City. Transfer to Antigua, a colonial gem. Two free days for exploring the town, optional walking tours, hiking and mountain biking.

Transfer by road to Lake Atitlan. Lake excursions and horse-riding or visit lakeside indigenous village of Santiago which can all be arranged locally.

Shared transfer by road to visit this famous craft market, (Sun and Thurs only).

Transfer to Guatemala City and fly up to Flores with Taca Airlines. Guided tour of Tikal, arguably the most spectacular Mayan site in Central America.

Fly back to Guatemala City and transfer by road into Honduras and Copan, which takes the best part of a day. Guided tour of Copan ruins and free time for optional horse riding or a visit to the hotsprings.

Transfer by road to San Pedro Sula in time for the flight to Roatan, with Atlantic Airlines or Aerolinas Sosa. Free days to relax and snorkel on the reef. Fly back to San Pedro Sula and continue on the return overnight flight to the UK.
