Ambiance Villas
Sitting on one of Cancun’s best beaches, Ambiance Villas is located at the far end of the hotel zone, which makes it a quieter place than most hotels in the area. With 150 rooms, Ambiance Villas is a relatively small hotel, giving it a cozier feel than most people would expect in Cancun. The food is good, especially breakfast and there are always plenty of free sun launchers by the pool and on the beach.

Hacienda Chichen Itza
This hotel is a beautiful XVI century colonial Hacienda located in the heart of the archaeological site of Chichén Itzá. In 1923, the Hacienda became the Carnegie Institute’s Mayan expedition headquarters – the picturesque cottages, built for the Carnegie staff, have been recently remodelled to serve as guest-rooms and are scattered throughout the hacienda’s tranquil tropical gardens. The cottages are simply decorated with colonial tiles, carved accessories and hand woven bedspreads.

Casa del Balam
The hotel Casa Del Balam is in the heart of Merida’s historic centre, facing the Opera House. It is elegantly decorated with colonial antiques, carved stone arches, wrought iron accessories and marble floors. Our favoured hotel in this lively city, its mix of colonial and modern design is far more attractive than many of its grander but modern rivals. Its location in the heart of the city also means you can see as much of Mexican life as you want as easily as possible.
