LUXURY SAFARI IN SRI LANKA

You don’t have to be a celebrity to get into this jungle! We can offer a new perspective on Asian wildlife viewing by incorporating African-style mobile safari camps, set deep within three of Sri Lanka’s best national parks.

This is a holiday for nature lovers looking for an opportunity to view Sri Lanka’s abundant wildlife and experience jungle life from within its national parks. In each of the three parks visited Wilpattu, Yala and Udawalawe, an advance party sets up camp a few days prior to guest’s arrival. Facilities include large customised tents, hot showers and gourmet dining beneath the stars. Wilpattu is the country’s largest park with a dense jungle covering; here Leopard and Sloth Bear are both prominent.

Yala National Park has one of the world’s highest densities of leopard and, with a bit of luck and the accompanying expertise of local guides, sightings will be made! Its mix of open parkland, dense jungle, water holes and lagoons support a variety of wildlife including jackal, civet and rusty spotted and fishing cats.

Udawalawe National Park is perhaps more famous for its elephants – watch both adults and babies bathing and playing in the water or feeding. Other wildlife sightings here may include spotted and barking deer, water buffalo and a large variety of both resident and migrant birds.

We can include a safari as part of your tailor-made tour in Sri Lanka. Please contact us for more details.
