The new Bangkok airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport, will open for commercial traffic on 28 September 2006. The airport is located southeast of Bangkok, a 45 minute drive from the downtown area. The cost of airport transfers for Suvarnabhumi Airport is the same as Don Muang Airport.
