Araras Eco Lodge
This rustic lodge offers clean, comfy rooms, excellent regional food, bar, swimming pool, large verandahs with hammocks and an exciting tree-top look out. The lodge is involved in several wildlife preservation projects, and has increased the numbers of endangered hyacinth macaw to over 40 pairs in the vicinity, and 2 families of giant river otters live nearby.

Juma Lodge
Juma Lodge is located 100km south of Manaus and is reached by road and by boat and was built to totally integrate into the jungle. All rooms are very comfortable with a lovely view of the forest an the river with a screened window, providing the great sense of being in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Each bungalow has a hammock on the balcony so you can relax.

Hotel Das Cataratas
The only hotel actually within the national park and one of the best places to stay in the area. There are lovely gardens here and a swimming pool. Well appointed for Iguacu Falls, it has all the facilities you would expect from a luxury hotel. The two hundred rooms are of varying standards and some have fabulous views overlooking the falls.

San Martin
This is one of the few low-rise hotels in the area. At 13kms from the falls, it is actually one of the closest hotels and is situated on the road from town to the entrance of the Iguacu National Park. There is a friendly and lively atmosphere and communal spaces are airy and spacious. There are trails to walk through the gardens and forest, as well as a pool and tennis court.

Novotel Manaus
Located 10 minutes from the city centre and 20 minutes from the airport, this 164 room hotel is situated in a quiet, pleasant area. The hotel is comfortable and a good place for people to stay when flying in to the city late at night and on to the jungle the next day.

Hotel Tropical Manaus
Situated on the Negro River, this hotel is the best in Manaus. All rooms are en-suite and have air conditioning and Cable TVs. The facilities are fantastic and include tennis courts, swimming pool and two restaurants.

Pousada Pequizeiro
This is a relatively new pousada located in a small town called Bom Clima. The rooms have large beds, air conditioning and hot water. There is a good sized swimming pool, hot tub and restaurant.

Pousada Penhasco
This hotel is set in beautiful grounds and offers fantastic views. There are 24 en suite rooms with air conditioning and private verandas. There is a swimming pool with a bar, games facilities and sports equipment. There are also plenty of walks and trails to be done from the hotel.

Anavilhanas Lodge
Anavilhanas Lodge is located in the Anavilhanas archipelago, just 100km and approximately 3½ hours from the city of Manaus, on the banks of the Rio Negro. The Anavilhanas is an excellent choice for travellers looking to experience the Amazon without sacrificing luxury and exclusivity. Despite its extensive amenities, the hotel is small, private and very charming. There are 16 bungalows with thatched roof tops that maintain the traditional caboclo style of the region and each have a private terrace where you can take in nature’s beauty while unwinding in the comfy hammocks.
