This hotel is the best, by international standards, on the island. There are 52 rooms all with private bathrooms, a restaurant, with a good selection of local and European cuisine and a dining room that has enormous glass windows overlooking the ocean. There are two swimming pools, one offers great views of the ocean and the other is a small salt water pool close to the oceans edge. You can hire cars, jeeps and horses for the day.

This was the first hotel to be built on the island and is Chilean owned, (so no profits go to the Island). The hotel has a swimming pool and gardens and is ideally situated on the coast providing fantastic views of the Ocean. Superior rooms have air con and ocean views the hotel also has a bar and is where the weekly performance of the Kari Kari is held, which costs $US15.

Explora - Rapa Nui

Explora en Rapa Nui is an excellent base for exploring this attractive and mysterious island which is home to a culture whose origins and evolution remain unexplained. Volcanic rock, native to the island and always used by the island’s inhabitants in construction, and wood from the mainland, are the principal materials that have been used to build the hotel. The hotel has 30 guestrooms, a pool, massage salon and open-air Jacuzzis.

This lovely hotel is set on the shores of Lago Grey with spectuacular views of the Grey glacier, the Torre Massif and the iceburgs that graciously float in the lake. Guestrooms are clean, simple, all with en-suite bathrooms. The service here is friendly and efficient. The hotel has a boat, which operates twice a day taking you tight up to the Grey glacier. Trips to the other side of the lake can also be arranged.

Hotel Kosten Aike

This hotel is one block back from the main street in Calafate. Although the name of the hotel means “windy place” in the original indigenous language the hotel has a supremely cozy feel to it. All rooms are spacious, comfortable and well decorated whilst the bar area has an open fire. Tucked away in the top floor is a jacuzzi and sauna. All the rooms have en suite facilities and are heated and the hotel is decorated with original artwork throughout.

Explora - Patagonia

Situated in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park, the Explora is probably one of the best located hotels in the world. On the shore of Pehoé Lake overlooking the actual ‘torres’, the hotel has 30 rooms each one of which has the most spectacular view. Kimal Hotel

This small beautiful hotel is ideally situated close to the Plaza de Armas in San Pedro and all its amenities and restaurants. All comfortable guestrooms have private bathrooms and are constructed in typical adobe style with mud walls and bamboo and grass ceilings. Spacious and nicely decorated, each room has a small private seating area.

Altiplanico Hotel

This friendly artistically sculpted hotel is located only 12-15 minutes walk outside of San Pedro town. All guestrooms have private spacious bathrooms and local artwork displayed around the rooms. The hotel has a swimming pool and plenty of shaded resting areas with great views of Volcan Licancabur. There is a nice bar here and free internet access but no restaurant.

Tulor Hotel

This small friendly hotel is situated just a couple of blocks from the main square in San Pedro. The hotel is constructed in the typical adobe material and in the design of the old Inca ruins. There are 9 basic rooms each with private bathroom and hotwater. There is a bar and a small refreshing pool.
