MAINLAND AND GALAPAGOS

Days 1 to 2 - Quito

Fly from London, via Madrid to Quito and transfer to your hotel. Free day to enjoy the colonial centre of Quito.

Days 3 to 4 - Otavalo

Today you will be met for your transfer north of Quito to the bustling market town of Otavalo. Free day to enjoy the markets, lakes and volcanoes.

Days 5 to 6 - Cloudforest

You will be transferred to the cloudforest where you will enjoy the experience of the hundreds of species and their habitat.

Days 7 to 8 - Cotopaxi

Travel south through Quito and down the majestic Avenue of the Volcanoes to Cotopaxi. Stay in a historic hacienda and visit the refugio at 4800m above sea level. Alternatively just relax or go horse-riding.

Day 9 - Riobamba

Continue south for a night in this small station town, you will have an early start to ride the Devil’s Nose railway switch backing through the Andes, (this only operates on a Wed, Fri and Sun).

Days 10 to 11 - Cuenca

Continue south to Cuenca. Free day to explore the streets of colonial Cuenca and/or visit the Inca ruins of Ingapirca and the villages of the area.

Day 12 - Guayaquil

Arrive into Guayaquil and overnight.

Days 13 to 19 - Galapagos

Transfer to the airport and fly to the Galapagos. Seven nights spent cruising these enchanting islands on the Cachalote (3 frog) or Parranda (5 frog).

Fly to Guayaquil to catch your overnight return flight to the UK.
