Shanklands Rainforest Resort overlooks Guyanas largest river, the Essequibo, and sits amidst 25 acres of rolling lawns down river from the gold mining town of Bartica. Each cottage is secluded with beautiful surrounding gardens and access to the river. All the rooms are built in a plantation style within beautiful grounds. There is a marked forest nature trail that may lead you past Tapir, Labba and other wildlife. Bird life at Shanklands is excellent.
