Day 1 - Lima
Fly from London (or optional regional UK airports) via Madrid to Lima. Arrive in the evening and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Days 2-3 - Nazca
This morning you will travel to Nazca, approximately 7 hours. On arrival transfer to your hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure. The next morning you will fly over the huge mysterious figures of the Nazca Lines. This will be followed by a visit to the Cemetry of Chauchilla before your overnight bus to Arequipa, approximately 10 hours.

Arrive in Arequipa in the morning. Transfer to hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5 - Arequipa
Enjoy a city Tour of Arequipa - visit the famous Santa Catalina convent, Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, Cupulas de San Francisco and the Spanish colonial district of Yanahuaura.
Day 6 - Puno
Fly to Juliaca. Transfer to Puno to the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, where you will be staying.

Tour of the floating islands made entirely of reeds, home to the Uros people and Taquile Island.

Travel on the first Class train to Cusco enjoying lunch on board. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour - visit the village of Pisac and its local market where the people still maintain their traditional costumes and trade/barter as their ancestors did. After lunch you will continue on to Ollantaytambo, a small town still very true to its Inca roots, overlooked by the impressive fortress.

Morning train to Aguas Calientes, a small town at the bottom of Machu Picchu, then journey to the top of the mountain where you will have a guided tour of the citadel. In the afternoon you will catch a train back to Cusco for an overnight stay.

Fly to Puerto Maldonado and travel along the river (Madre de Dios or Tambopata) to a jungle lodge. Spend two full days with excellent local guides observing wildlife on the rainforest trails, and from dug-out canoes on one of the many lakes.

Early morning start for sunrise as you travel down the river to Puerto Maldonado. Fly back to Lima via Cusco. Day use of the hotel and some free time before your return overnight flight to the UK.
