HIGHLIGHTS OF PERU

Day 1 - Lima

Fly from London (or optional regional UK airports) via Amsterdam to Lima. Evening arrival and overnight stay in hotel in popular Miraflores area.

Day 2 - Nazca

Bus south to Nazca for the evening. Morning flight over the huge mysterious figures of the Nazca Lines. Followed by a private transfer to Paracas.

Day 3 - Paracas

Stay overnight in hotel on the Paracas peninsula with a morning visit to the Ballestas Islands National Marine Reserve by boat.

Day 4 - Lima

Return by bus to Lima.

Days 5 to 6 - Colca Canyon

Fly to the attractive colonial town of Arequipa, located in a lush valley at the foot of the magnificent, perfectly coned El Misti Volcano. Private tour of the city and Santa Catalina Convent, once home to over 450 nuns, followed by a scenic journey to the Colca Canyon. Stay in a lodge and have a free day to explore the stunning countryside.

Days 7 to 8 - Lake Titicaca

Drive via the Cruz del Condor viewpoint to the shores of the highest navigable lake in the world. Visit the floating islands made entirely of reeds, home to the Uros people and Taquile Island.

Days 9 to 10 - Cusco

Train or bus (trains operate 3 days per week) to Cusco. Explore the well-preserved colonial buildings and Inca ruins on a halfday city tour.

Days 11 to 13 - Inca Trail

Walk the impressive ancient Inca paths that wind through the Sacred Valley offering magnificent views before arriving at the spectacular Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate.

Day 14 - Machu Picchu

Relax after the trek in the village of Aguas Calientes.

Day 15 - Cusco

Return to Cusco for one night before your return flight to Lima where you will have the use of a day room at your first hotel, before your return overnight flight to the UK.
