BRAZIL OFFER - UNTIL SEPTEMBER '09

DAYS 1-3: RIO DE JANEIRO

This morning you will take your flight with British Airways to Rio de Janeiro. When you arrive in Rio you will be met by an English-speaking representative and driven to your hotel where the guide will give you a general introduction to Rio. Spend two full days exploring this exciting city, including visits to Rio’s famous Copacabana beach, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovado.

DAY 4-6: IGUACU

This morning you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Foz do Iguacu, where on arrival you will be met and brought to your hotel. Niagara pales into insignificance beside the 2½ km long Iguaçú Falls. Both higher and wider, it is a truly spectacular sight. 

DAYS: 7-9: PARATY

This morning you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight back to Rio, where on arrival you will be met and driven to Paraty (approximately 4hrs). In stark contrast to Rio, Paraty is a compact colonial port that lies 4 hours to the south. The journey down the coast is stunning with the mountains dipping straight in to the sea. Now a national historic monument, Paraty’s charming cobbled streets house plenty of local restaurants and small artisan shops well worth visiting.

Enjoy a few days independently in Paraty. You might enjoy to take a schooner trip around some of the islands in the bay, visit the many ornate churches, explore the colonial cobbled streets with art galleries and restaurants, go horse riding or trek to waterfalls and along the old historic gold trail or walk to the town beach of Pontal or further to the Jabaquara beach.

DAYS: 10-13: BUZIOS

Today you will be privately transferred to Buzios, which takes about 6 hours. On arrival you will be dropped to your hotel.

The tiny fishing village of Búzios has grown to international repute, likened to Saint Tropez, and offering the visitor sandy white beaches, an all season climate, lively nightlife, sports, all-over suntans. There is plenty to do whilst you are staying in Buzios, for example, dive, ride horses, trek, mountain bike, sail, play tennis, golf or just laze on a beach.

DAY 14: RETURN
