Your trip will begin with 3 nights at Villa Blanca, a small boutique hotel near San Jose, which will give you time to relax and acclimatise. The hotel was built to generate income to protect the Los Angeles Cloud Forest, and it is dedicated to the conservation of nature and Costa Rican traditions. This is one of the few hotels awarded 5 leaves for green policies by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute. While here enjoy a free private guided tour to the Poás Volcano National Park and La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

Spend the next 2 nights at Arenal Paraiso which is made up of a series of cabins set in lush gardens which look out on to the Arenal Volcano. Within the 65 hectares of the Finca you will find many private trails to explore and enjoy, 3 hot-spring fed pools and great views of the Volcano which you can see erupting at night.

Next you will stay in El Sapo Dorado in the Monterverde Cloudforest for 2 nights. In the gardens of El Sapo Dorado spacious and private rooms are set deep in the hills along little trails that are lit at night. The gardens themselves are extensive and the hotel also boasts arguably the finest restaurant in Monteverde. The hotel also owns a private reserve bordering the Monteverde Cloudforest called Sendero Tranquilo and they run guided morning tours with no more than 6 people to a group.

Finish your trip with 5 nights at Si Como No where you can relax on the beach and explore the nearby Manuel Antonio National Park. If you are feeling lazy you can enjoy the wildlife from the comfort of your balcony as hundreds of spider monkeys make a daily transit through the hotel en-route from the rainforest to the beach, swinging from tree to tree and leaping between the terracotta tiled rooftops!
