Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort
A very attractive property with high standards and a beautiful outlook. Although there is only a small beach, the landscaped gardens and view to 5 islands of the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Marine Park more than compensate. The city centre, local attractions, and the airport are a stones throw away.
Our Opinion: A great central hotel with all the Shangri-la luxuries.

Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort
This Shangi-La property is situated on the completely unspoilt Pantai Dalit where lush tropical rainforest meets the sea. The hotel offers first-class facilities, consistently good standards of service and luxurious guestrooms.

Mountain Lodge
Situated just outside Mt Kinabalu National Park, this is basic but comfortable lodge accommodation. There is a stunning view of Mt Kinabalu. All the rooms have en-suite facilities with shower.
Our Opinion: A comfortable lodge in a prime location in the shadow of Mt Kinabalu.

Sukau River Lodge
Set right on the Kinabatangan River, this is a perfect location to spot Proboscis monkeys and the magnificent hornbill.
Our Opinion: Basic but comfortable wooden lodge accommodation with air-conditioning and en-suite facilities. A highlight is the night nature walks.

This is a relaxed location perfect for swimming and snorkelling. The cabana style accommodation is basic but comfortable. The rooms feature air-conditioning and en-suite facilities.

Selingan Island
Green and Hawksbill turtles come ashore here at Selingan Island almost every night throughout the year to lay their eggs. The chalet style accommodation is simple with shared very basic bathroom facilities. The rooms do have air-conditioning.
Our Opinion: A very special place with a sandy beach perfect to snorkel from.

A 4 star rustic lodge in the heart of the untouched virgin rainforest, this is a haven for wildlife lovers and walkers. The wooden lodge style rooms are very spacious with en-suite facilities overlooking the pristine jungle. The lodge accommodates a maximum of 60 people ensuring a unique and individual experience. Great for those wanting to get right off the beaten track and to experience the true rainforest, this lodge is very comfortable with a lovely dining and bar area overlooking the river.

The Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort has been planned and built as an airy, comfortable, sunny water village with no land in sight and it boasts a mile-long sandbank of powdery blindingly white sand where one can suntan at complete leisure! The resort offers roomy and elegant twin-sharing wooden chalets with huge private balconies and attached bathrooms.

The Hilton Kuching is located right in the heart of the city, occupying a landscaped site by the promenade and facing the the banks of the Sarawak River. Royal Mulu Resort
The resort is designed in the style of a longhouse, with all buildings on stilts. Its setting is in the rainforest, on the bend of the river, and it benefits from fabulous views of the nearby mountains. Although the hotel is fairly simple the quality is good.
Our Opinion: It is the perfect base to explore the highlights of Mulu National Park (World Heritage).

Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort
The Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort is located in the heart of the world’s most ancient rainforest in the north-west of Borneo. On a lake peninsula, 4 to 5 hours drive from the city of Kuching, the Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort embraces its wild, untamed surroundings and integrates pure nature, Iban culture and rugged adventure with welcomed reminders of modern-day living. The resort has 100 guest rooms in 11 indigenous style longhouses, raised on stilts.

Damai Puri
On its own sandy beach fronting the South China Sea some 40 minutes by road from Kuching with the jungle covered slopes of Mount Santubong behind. Next door is the Sarawak Cultural Village, a living museum depicting the lifestyles of the State.
Our Opinion: This beautiful beach-front retreat is perfect for nature and adventure lovers.

Camp 5
The camp is situated in a clearing within the rainforest on the banks of the Melinau River boasting breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. It serves as a base camp to the Pinnacles, which are a collection of 45 metre high, limestone needles that cling to the side of Gunung Api (Fire Mountain). This particular trek is ideal for keen hikers but is challenging and a fairly hard trek up the mountain.There is a communal washroom area and kitchen facilities and 4 rooms which can sleep up to 10 people each.
Our Opinion: It is basic and is completely isolated, perfect for those who love nature, and enjoy trekking and exploring nature trails.

Ulu Ai Longhouse
The Ulu Ai Longhouse is a jungle lodge located next to the longhouse of Nanga Sumpa, an hour and a half longboat ride from Batang Ai jetty, Sarawak. Nanga Sumpa Longhouse is home to 33-families. Staying at the Ulu Ai jungle lodge adjacent to the longhouse allows visitors a unique opportunity to spend time with the local Iban people to learn about their culture, to experience how they live as well as to enjoy some local rice wine.
The accommodation is rustic and very basic but clean, with a shared washroom area. There is a kitchen and communal veranda area overlooking the river below. You can hike the jungle trails along the river, take a boat ride to the scenic Enseluai Waterfall, swim, explore the rainforest and try fishing Iban-style.
Our Opinion: For those looking to experience culture and meet local people in a natural unspoilt environment.

This is a comfortable hotel located in the centre of the city, within easy access to all the city has to offer. The hotel comprises 126 well decorated rooms, and has a sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool and Coffee house and a complimentary shuttle to the town centre and Gadong.
Our Opinion: A good value, comfortable option for Brunei.
