MOUNT KINABALU MOUNTAIN CLIMB
Featuring: Kota Kinabalu - Kinabalu National Park, Summit Trail, Summit Trail - Kota Kinabalu
Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia, towers over World Heritage Kinabalu National Park. For some it will be enough to explore the park as part of a tour, but for the more adventurous the mountain climb is a must! It requires no special skills just lots of stamina!
Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu - Kinabalu National Park
Depart Kota Kinabalu for Mt. Kinabalu National Park, home to numerous species of interesting flora and fauna. Enjoy a guided nature trail with your guide. Proceed to Mountain Lodge for your overnight stay.
Accommodation options: Mountain LodgeDay 2 - Summit Trail
After breakfast at the Mountain Lodge, transfer to the park to register. Depart for the power station, the starting point of the summit trails, by a mountain guide. You should arrive at the Laban Rata Guesthouse mid-afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3 - Summit Trail - Kota Kinabalu
A very early wake up call this morning at 2am. Commence the summit trail by torch light at 3am. You will arrive at the summit roughly 6am in order to see sunrise. Transfer to Kinabalu National Park headquarters for lunch before heading back to the city. Arrive Kota Kinabalu roughly 5pm, transfers included to your hotel, where the tour ends.
