PROBOSCIS MONKEYS OF KINABATANGAN

The Kinabatangan Estuary is the highlight of most visits to Sabah for here is a rich collection of wildlife. Including the proboscis monkeys, long-nose primates unique to Borneo. The best way to spot the wildlife is from a small boat along the river and its tributaries and also on foot around the oxbow lakes, home to freshwater fish and otters.
Day 1 - Gomantong Caves - Kinabatangan River And Sukau
Leaving Sandakan, proceed to Gomantong Caves, then continue onwards to the village of Sukau. In the afternoon, take a boat trip to cruise the river and view proboscis monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at Sukau River Lodge.
