LANKAYAN ISLAND & SEPILOK ORANGUTAN SANCTUARY ITINERARY

Day 1 - Depart

Depart London Heathrow with Malaysia Airlines non-stop to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2 - Kota Kinabalu

Arrive KL. Aircraft change. Fly to Kota Kinabalu with Malaysia Airlines.

Day 3 - Kota Kinabalu

Day 4 - Sandakan

Fly over to Sandakan where you will enjoy a city tour and a visit to the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary. The Sanctuary, covering around 4,000 hectares, is one of only four Orangutan sanctuaries in the world. Orphaned orang-utan are taken here to be rehabilitated for return to the wild. You can visit at feeding time (currently 3 times daily) and see some of these magnificent creatures at close hand (although touching is not permitted): the feeding platform is around a 10 minute walk from the Centre. Other animals that you might spot include long-tail macaques, ground squirrel, butterflies and tree lizards. Overnight in Sabah hotel, Sandakan.

Days 5-7 - Lankayan Island

Take the boat over to beautiful Lankayan Island, for 3 days of world class diving. The 4D/3N Lankayan Island package includes the following (divers must already be certified but non-divers can go over and snorkel - the resort does not offer introductory dives for beginners):

• Boat Transfer to Lankayan & back to mainland.

• 3 meals per day plus afternoon tea & snacks (exclude alchoholic / soft drink)

• Accommodation on twin sharing basis - worth requesting the chalets

• 3 boat dive daily around the island except on arrival / departure day

• unlimited beach dive in front of jetty

• Provide tanks/weight and belt

• Limited gear available for rental

• No extra charge for Night dives in front of Dive Centre for advanced diver or diver with night dive experience

Days 8-9 - Kota Kinabalu

After 3 nights on the island, transfer back to the mainland and fly back to Kota Kinabalu and finish in style with a transfer to the Shangri-La's 5* Rasa Ria Resort

Day 10 - London
