CYCLING IN CAMBODIA

Featuring: Phnom Penh, Takeo, Kampot, Kep, Sihanoukville, Ream Maritime National Park

Rich in culture, natural and historical heritage – this is a tour for the senses! Combining bicycle, car, ferry and foot you will explore Cambodia’s diverse landscape of waterways, beaches, rice paddies, ancient ruins, national parks and jungle. Sample seafood delicacies, relax on Cambodia's sandy white beaches, and discover temples and museums. This trip has it all!

Please note that this is an example itinerary. There are other shorter cycling in Cambodia options available, for example Cycling Siem Reap (3 days) which could be combined with any of our general Cambodia trips. Please ask us for more details.

Day 1 - Phnom Penh

Arrive in Phnom Penh and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 - Phnom Penh

Explore this bustling city’s major sights by bike, including Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. In the afternoon, you will cycle to the Independence Monument, Tuol Sleng Museum and Choeung Ek killing fields.

Day 3 - Takeo

This morning cycle to Tonle Bati for a picnic lunch before heading to Phnom Chiso. The summit can be reached via a 180-step climb and offers magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Later you’ll arrive at Takeo for the night.

Cycling: Approx 60kms

Day 4 - Kampot

This morning you will be driven to the gate of Kabas before cycling to the charming Khmer town of Angkor Borei. You'll then ride to Phnom Da where you can relax and enjoy lunch on the hill top before taking a boat to Kampot.

Cycling: Approx 52kms

Day 5 - Kep

Leaving Kampot, you’ll head for the Phnom Sia limestone caves before arriving at the seaside town of Kep. Here you will take a boat trip to the beautiful Rabbit Island for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. Return to Kep for the night.

Cycling: Approx 35kms 

Day 6 - Sihanoukville

Drive through the fertile Bokor National Park with its abandoned hill station, stopping for lunch at Po Pok Vil Waterfalls. In the afternoon you will arrive at the quiet beach resort town of Sihanoukville where you can spend time relaxing.

Cycling: Approx 53kms 

Day 7 - Ream Maritime National Park

Cycle to the Ream Maritime National Park with mangrove forests, offshore coral reefs and fishing villages. Explore the jungles and mangrove swamps by boat, a fishing village and a small tropical island. Later take a boat back to port and cycle back to Sihanoukvillen where you will spend the evening.

Cycling: Approx 56kms 

Day 8 - Phnom Penh

This morning, you’ll have some free time in Sihanoukville to stroll around the market or relax on the sandy beaches. Drive to Phnom Penh in the afternoon for your flight back to London.
