THE TREASURES OF ANGKOR

Day 1 - Phnom Penh

Transfer from Phnom Penh Airport to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a city tour, visiting the Victory Monument, and the National Museum. End your afternoon with a visit of the Wat Phnom Temple, Phnom Penh's namesake, from where you can enjoy views over the tree-lined avenues of Phnom Penh during sunset.

Day 2 - Phnom Penh - Siem Reap

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Visit the Rolous Group of temples which served as the capital of Indravarman I. In the afternoon continue your temple tour. See the unique interior brick sculptures Prasat Kravan, the Srah Srang reservoir (known as 'The Royal Baths', Banteay Kdei and the mountain-temple of Pre Rup until sunset.

Day 3 - Siem Reap

This morning, visitthe most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the imperial Palace in Beijing. Continue to explore this fascinating place until sunset.

Day 4 - Siem Reap

Very early this morning, transfer to the archaeological site for the sunrise from the Phnom Bakheng, from where you will have a spectacular view of Western Baray and Angkor Wat. In the afternoon, you continue your temple visits to Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery.

Day 5 - Siem Reap - Phnom Penh

Visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers South of Siem Reap. Visit the village and take an escursion in a traditional wooden boaton the Tonle Sap Lake, the 'Great Lake' of Cambodia, on of the largest of Asia. This afternoon visit the Les Artisan d'Angkor of Siem Reap and enjoy time at leisure at a local market.

Transfer to Siem Reap airport and fly to Phnom Penh.

Day 6 - Phnom Penh

Today, drive to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Between 1975 and 1978 roughly 17,000 men, women and children were tragically killed here at S-21 prison. Return to Phnom Penh to visit the notorious Tuol Sleng Museum. Transfer back to Phnom Penh airport for you onward flight.
