GUILIN
It is said that the scenery close to Guilin was created by the gods and cruising down the Li River, the inspiration for so many artists and poets, you can see how this myth has developed. Spectacular limestone karst peaks, covered in lush greenery, literally rise up from the ground and dominate every scene you pass. Underground there is more extraordinary scenery. At the Reed Flute Cave, multi-coloured lighting and huge stalactites and stalagmites have fascinating legends attached to them.
