Day 1 - Tokyo
Arrive Tokyo Narita Airport and transfer by Airport Limousine Bus to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure.

Today, enjoy a full day tour around this fascinating city. Visit the Imperial Palace Grounds, the Tokyo Tower and Meiji Shrine. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Ginza. Continue the tour in the afternoon, visit Asakusa Kannon Temple and enjoy a 30-minute river cruise.

Pick up from your hotel for your day trip to the historic centre of Nikko. This is a very special tour, visit the Toshogu Shrine, built in the 17th Century for the 1st Shogun of Japan. Travel on to view the Kegon Waterfall, over 100 metres in height. Returning to Tokyo, the tour disbands at Ginza or Shinjuku. Your guide will assist you in returning to your hotel.

Today you will travel to the majestic Mount Fuji. Visit the 5th station and (weather permitting) you will see a panoramic view to the surrounding mountains. Cruise on Lake Ashi, then leave the tour and transfer to your hotel in Hakone.

Free time in the morning to explore Hakone, then transfer to Odawara station for your train to Hiroshima. Arrival late afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

Journey to the beautiful island of Miyajima today. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your Japanese Ryokan for a traditional experience. Afternoon at leisure to explore the island.

Deer roam freely around this beautiful island, there are nature treks, temples and shrines to visit and traditional shops to browse. The most famous site is the 'torii of Itsuku-shima' Shrine which appears to float in the water. Transfer back to Hiroshima station for your onward journey to Kyoto. Late afternoon in Kyoto at leisure.

Today, you will see the main sights of Kyoto. Visit Nijo Castle, the Golden Pavilion temple and Kyoto Old Imperial Palace (Mon-Fri only). In the afternoon, visit Nara. The fabulous temple of Todai-ji boasts the world's largest wooden structure.
