LAOS

Bordering Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and China, Laos is a landlocked country slightly larger than Great Britain. After a chequered past, Laos chose to remain in quiet isolation for some years and only recently has this former kingdom and French colony opened its doors to the outside world. Here is one of the few remaining vestiges of ‘old Asia’. Luang Prabang: The UNESCO World Heritage city of Luang Prabang is considered ‘the best preserved city in South East Asia’. Temples abound and steeped in history, you will see traditional stilted wooden houses and French Colonial buildings in Laos. Add to this the friendliness of the Lao people and you have a destination you will want to return to again and again.
