VAT PHOU CRUISE
Featuring: Pakse - Champassak - Vat Phou (L, D), Houei Thamo - Oum Moung Temple - Khong Island (B, L, D), Ban Veuthong - Xieng Di - Pakse (B, L)
The 'Vat Phou' cruises down the Mekong through this lush region of Laos, taking in the Wat Phou temple, as well as local life along the way.
Day 1 - Pakse - Champassak - Vat Phou (L, D)
This morning, meet at Pier or Sinouk Coffee House and check-in for the Vat Phou Cruise.
Depart Pakse for Champassak heading south aboard a local long-tail riverboat, arriving at Champassak in time for lunch. This afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the mysterious 10th century temple of Vat Phou. Dinner is served on board, while the boat docks for the night alongside a remote Laotion village.

Day 2 - Houei Thamo - Oum Moung Temple - Khong Island (B, L, D)
After breakfast on board, you set sail for the village of Houei Thamo. Afterwards rejoin the boat for a cruise southwards with lunch on deck. Sail further south to the wild paradise of the '4,000 islands', visit this traditional Loation Village where the way of life has not changed in centuries.
Overnight on board
Day 3 - Ban Veuthong - Xieng Di - Pakse (B, L)
Cruise to the small village of Ban Veuthong where you will board a small long-tail boat back to the mainland for lunch. Transfer to the amazingly scenic Khong Pha Peng waterfall, the "Niagara of the East", close to the Cambodian border. Transfer back to Pakse, arriving in the afternoon.
