Taj Exotica Resort and Spa

This is the Maldives' latest luxury resort. Newly opened, it blends in with the natural surroundings to encapture the Maldivian atmosphere. The spa is integral to the resort.

Our Opinion: A beautiful luxurious resort, the ideal destination for a honeymoon.  

Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa

Located 30 minutes by seaplane from Male airport, this resort is built on two islands connected by a 500-metre footbridge over the clear blue waters of a lagoon. Rustic but luxurious accommodation includes beach villas and water villas. There is a great choice of dining, including the Ithaa - the only glass undersea restaurant in the world.

Our Opinion: Barefoot luxury and style on white-sand beaches and unspoilt coral reef. 

Soneva Gili Resort and Spa

Soneva Gili is a luxury paradise, only 20 minutes by speedboat from the airport. All the villas are built over the water - the Crusoe residences are accessible only by boat - and the island operates a 'no news, no shoes' concept. The spacious residences are beautifully furnished in natural materials, offering all the facilities you would expect from a luxury resort.

Our Opinion: The ultimate relaxation resort offering true luxury and sophistication in a spectacular setting. 

Taj Coral Reef Resort

The Taj Coral Reef is located on a small island in North Male Atoll, about 50 minutes from the airport by speedboat. The 65 villas are either lagoon villas built on stilts over the ocean, or beach villas with terrace. The furnishings are relatively simple, but the hotel has all the ingredients for a great Maldives holiday. There is a great beach, a swimming pool and a spa to enjoy.

Our opinion: A lovely hotel with friendly and efficient staff. A more reasonably priced option.  

Cocoa Island

Cocoa Island is in South Male Atoll, roughly a 40 minute speedboat ride from the airport. There is a choice of suites here - some inspired by the local dhoni boats, and the newer villa style suites, are built over the shallow lagoon. The furnishings are light and airy, and the whole island exudes an air of tranquil calm.

Our Opinion: A great getaway destination, with a peaceful feel of escapism. 

Soneva Fushi Resort

Soneva Fushi, is located on one of the largest islands in the Maldives, located in the Baa Atoll - approximately 30 minutes by seaplane transfer. The 100 acre island has just 65 villas, all set on the beach amidst the lush vegetation that covers the interior. Bicycles are provided to traverse the shady paths, and the remoteness of the island is part of its charm; delivering a real Robinson Crusoe feel.

Our Opinion: This resort offers sophistication on one of the most attractive islands in the Maldives.

Medhufushi Island Resort

Medhufushi is a lovely island resort in an untouched & unspoilt atoll. To arrive there is an adventure by seaplane and a short boat ride. It is one of the Maldives newest properties, built in a traditional style with natural materials.

There are 120 rooms located either over water or behind the beach, and the honeymoon suites can only be reached by boat. This resort is perfect for younger couples, and offers various theme nights with culinary influences from around the world. With two restaurants and an over water bar, dining offers great choice and spectacular views.

Our opinion: This is a very good choice for honeymooners or special occasions.

Olhuveli Beach and Spa Resort

Nestled amidst tropical vegetation and shaded by graceful palms, is Olhuveli Beach & Spa. Surrounded by a vast sandy beach and a crystal clear lagoon, this is a truly beautiful island, where paradise seekers escaping from the pressures of everyday life can forget the outside world and let go of all inhibitions.

A laid back and leisurely ambiance prevails on the resort, and you will find all the ingredients for an entertaining yet relaxing holiday at Olhuveli Beach & Spa.

There are 3 restaraunts and 3 bars to chose from allowing you to enjoy the sunrise and the sunset. With plenty of watersports and other activites, and with an inhouse diving school, you have the choice to relax or be active. In the evenings wind down with a cocktail to some local live music.
