A stylish boutique hotel, guestrooms have been furnished to a very high standard and equipped with every amenity to ensure a relaxing stay. This hotel is great value for money.

Our Opinion: A friendly welcoming inexpensive hotel in an excellent central location.

Amari Watergate

This ever-popular hotel is located close to the World Trade Centre and is surrounded by local shops, markets and restaurants. Excellent value-for-money, the hotel prides itself on service. A host of restaurants and bars are on offer and guestrooms are spacious and equipped with excellent amenities ensuring a luxurious stay in the city.

Our Opinion: A good location with excellent facilities, a popular choice.

Banyan Tree Bangkok

The tallest all-suite deluxe hotel in the Thai capital with both city and river views from its central location. Air-conditioned suites are spacious and tastefully designed, all with seperate bedroom and living room. The hotel facilities are extensive and second to none.

Our Opinion: We love the open-air rooftop bar and restaurant with fantastic views of the city.

The Peninsula Bangkok

Situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, The Peninsula is a top class deluxe hotel and one which we regularly receive excellent client feedback. The elegantly appointed rooms (all river-facing) with pioneering technology and luxury are some of the largest in Bangkok. The hotel perfectly blends luxury with traditional Thai hospitality.

Our Opinion: A top class hotel with excellent facilities in a great location by the river.

Shangri-la Bangkok

Firmly established as one of the city's leading hotels, the Shangri-La has a fantastic riverside location. Guestrooms in the Shangri-La Wing are spacious and well-equipped enjoying a river view. The Krungthep luxury wing is almost like a separate hotel. Guests enjoy private butler service, complimentary breakfast and a host of other amenities.

Our Opinion: A fantastic five star experience, not to be missed!

Eastern and Oriental Express

Orient -Express trains and cruises have become famous for recapturing the style and romance of a bygone era with their luxurious around the world. One such is the Eastern and Oriental Express operating between Bangkok and Singapore; surley an experiance to be enjoyed at least once in a lifetime!

Swissotel Nai Lert Park

This is a newly refurbished low-rise hotel in a central location, with 338 comfortable well-equipped rooms, all with private balconies. The hotel is set in luxuriant gardens with a large pool, squash and tennis courts and a small spa, which gives the property the feel of a resort, rather than a city centre hotel.

Our Opinion: A welcome oasis set in the midst of the bustle of Bangkok.

The Chedi Phuket

Situated in a magical setting overlooking the attractive Pansea Beach, lies The Chedi Phuket, a deluxe property that is a tropical paradise. Thatched cottages sit surrounded by a canopy of coconut groves, close to a sandy beach. The one and two bedroom cottages are elegantly furnished and spacious. The position is secluded, but simple beachside restaurants are available at Surin some 20 minutes walk away.

Our Opinion: A really special place, we’ve received excellent feedback from guests.

Cape Panwa

Locally owned and managed this is perfect for that quiet relaxing holiday; remote from the excesses of Patong Beach there is a wide range of activities on-site to keep you busy during your day. Sited atop a hill, the electric tram which transports guests to/from the sandy beach. All rooms have a balcony facing the sea.

Our Opinion: A simple style resort, away from the excesses of Patong, with a nice beach and a good choice of restaurants.

Mom Tri's Boathouse

This is a small and friendly property with an emphasis on personal service, good food and good wine. All rooms have a sea-facing balcony or terrace. Located at the southern end of Kata beach, 50 minutes from the airport. The beach here is long and sweeping and there are some bars and restaurants close by. Learn the art of Thai cooking with the hotels expert chef.

Our Opinion: Something special - The best testimony is that many guests return to the hotel year after year.

Dusit Laguna

This deluxe resort, set on a sandy beach at Bang Thao Bay is flanked by 2 inland lagoons. Boasting beautiful Thai architecture in an attractive landscaped setting with typically high standards from a member of the Dusit group. Part of the long beach is prone to erosion during summer months but the adjacent lagoon provides a good alternative.

Our Opinion: An excellent resort offering a good range of services on a beautiful beach on the north of the island.

Banyan Tree Phuket

This exotic Thai-style hideaway is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Thailand’s rich culture is reflected in the elegant style of this deluxe resort and the luxuriously appointed villas really are exceptional. The hotel is also a member of the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’. Simply relax and soak up the atmosphere!

Our Opinion: A romantic getaway where you can be pampered to your heart’s content.

Villa Royale

Villa Royale is the sister property to Mom Tri’s Boathouse, and continues their excellent reputation for service and fine gourmet food and wine. The property itself is set atop a headland between the beaches of Kata Noi and Kata Yai and affords spectacular views from the terrace restaurant. There are 20 deluxe studio rooms, and six suites, all furnished in individual styles to a very high standard. There are two swimming pools, one freshwater, one saltwater, and it is a short walk down to Kata Noi beach. The Spa Royale is set in tropical gardens and built around a central massage pool. Guests can also use the facilities and restaurant (and extensive wine cellar) at the Boathouse, a short shuttle ride away.

Our Opinion: An individual style property in a beautiful setting and offering high levels of service and dining.

Andaman White Beach

Situated on a secluded beach (which really is white), this hotel is perfect for those seeking peace and seclusion. Discreetly positioned on a coconut plantation, there are 55 beachfront and sea view villas and suites. The pool villas are highly recommended as you have total privacy and your own private lap pool.

Our Opinion: We think this is a great natural hideaway – simple and very relaxing.

Centara Villas Phuket

Set on a hill overlooking Karon Beach some 10 minutes south of Patong. Although the hotel is not directly on the beach a steep pathway leads down along the coastline onto Karon Beach. The spacious villas are all sea-facing with fantastic views of the beach.

Our Opinion: A fantastic hotel in a tropical setting offering a romantic getaway with a lovely personal touch.

The Racha

The Racha is located roughly 12 miles south of Phuket on peaceful Koh Racha Island, known for its natural beauty and excellent coral and marine life. The resort features 70 luxury villas built to blend in with the natural environment. It also strives to be recognised as a leader in responsible and environmentally friendly tourism.

Our Opinion: Fantastic hotel with great diving opportunities.

Aleenta Resort & Spa

This small luxury boutique hotel lies on the unspoilt Natai Beach, and is just 15 minutes away from Thailand's beautiful Phang Nga Bay. Simple and elegant with contemporary design, the resort is a paradise by the sea. At Aleenta, it’s not just about self-indulgent luxury but also about being socially responsible and environmentally friendly. Our favourite part of the Aleenta is the turtle sanctuary in the beautiful Khao Lumpee-Haad Thaymuang National Park where Aleenta employs a full-time representative, and where, every year, hundreds of baby turtles emerge from the shore.

Amari Palm Reef

Attractive and stylish clusters of Thai-style buildings are situated amongst attractive gardens. The local restaurants and shops in Chaweng are just minutes away. Beach-side there is a main public area and a wing of Superior and Suite rooms; and across the coastal road, Superior, Deluxe and Deluxe Family Duplexes Rooms.

Our Opinion: A great location, and an excellent friendly resort.

Santiburi Resort

A top quality resort in a quiet location, the Santiburi Resort is surrounded by 23 acres of attractive beach-side tropical gardens. The resort offers luxurious accommodation in a secluded spot on Koh Samui's north coast. We recommend the villas - individual units scattered throughout the large gardens.

Our Opinion: A fantastic property in a picturesque location. Highly recommended!

Centara Grand Beach Resort

Right in the middle of Chaweng, with shops and restaurants close by, the Central Samui Beach Resort is located on a great stretch of beach. There are lots of facilities here, plenty to keep everyone entertained. Although a high-rise (for Samui!), this 4-storey colonial style hotel is very attractive.

Our Opinion: With a reputation for friendly and efficient service, the Centara Grand Beach Resort draws people back time after time. An excellent, central choice!

Centara Villas Samui

Nestled on Natien Beach in southern Samui, unwind in the privacy of 80 meters of natural beach and accommodation in Deluxe Villas, many with their own personal spa or pool, which reflect the enchanting, typical Thai heritage. An idyllic vacation spot for the modern traveller seeking to get away from it all. Its secluded hillside location may mean it is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Our Opinion: Friendly and pleasant resort in a quiet location.

The Tongsai Bay Cottages and Hotel

Pretty gardens overlooking a sandy bay and spacious guestrooms all facing the sea - the owners had a vision of the perfect place to escape the stresses of the modern world. Rooms are either close to pool and beach or choose the cottages scattered around the hillside. All rooms have an open-air bath with a view of the sea!

Our Opinion:A small boutique family-run property offering exceptional service.

Muang Kulaypan Hotel

All rooms are airconditioned and face the sea. They combine Thai style comfort with modern amenities, featuring shower only; TV; in-house movies; IDD telephone; in-room safe; mini-bar; kimonos; hairdryers. Ground floor rooms include a private garden whilst upstairs rooms enjoy a private balcony. Every room has a unique bed design: Superior rooms have a classic bed either twin or double; Deluxe rooms have a twin or double Japanese style bed with mattress laid on a stage; and Honeymoon Inao has a classic double bed surrounded by Mosquito net. Honeymoon deluxe rooms are on the ground floor with unique decoration.

Our Opinion: An Oasis of calm in a central location.

Le Royal Meridien Baan Taling Ngam

Meaning ‘Home on a beautiful cliff’, Le Royal Méridien Baan Taling Ngam is nestled on a hillside amidst a coconut plantation, overlooking Taling Ngam Bay and the 42 islands of Ang Thong Marine Park. The resort is serviced by buggies so its hillside location is not a disadvantage.

Our Opinion: A stunning location and the perfect place to get away from it all.

Bo Phut Resort & Spa

A new 4* boutique resort, opened in December 2004, nestled amidst lush gardens with a great beachfront location. The small fishing village is within walking distance.

Our Opinion: Stylish boutique hotel.

Samui Amanda Resort

Located 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng beach, the Samui Amanda is a lovely hotel in a more secluded location. Situated on a quiet beach, the resort is excellent for families as well as couples. The 73 bungalows are built in a unique style with elegant thatched roofs and are beautifully furnished.

Our Opinion: A lovely boutique resort in an idyllic setting.

Rayavadee

Rayavadee is located within the spectacular scenery of Krabi’s marine National Park, at the end of an isthmus, reachable only by boat. The 98 individual pavilions are spread out on 26 acres bordered by three stunning beaches, and beneath towering limestone cliffs. This secluded resort, in a fantastic setting, offers luxury accommodation and a full range of sporting facilities together with an excellent spa. The pavilions are two-storey, with a large living area on the ground floor, and a spacious bathroom and bedroom upstairs. Some of the pavilions have jacuzzis or hydro-pools.

Our Opinion: The ultimate luxury getaway destination.

Andaman Holiday Resort

Set on a fabulous beach in a secluded spot surrounded by Krabi's natural beauty this is a marvellous getaway location far from the madding crowd. Set on a fabulous beach , the Andaman Hotel Resort is great value-for-money. Located 20 minutes from downtown Ao Nang, its a popular choice for couples and families.

Our Opinion: A low-key resort with very friendly staff set on a fantastic beach.

Pakasai Resort

A good standard of accommodation a short walk uphill from the shops, restaurants and the beach at Ao Nang. The room décor is probably the most stylish in Ao Nang. The ‘infinity’ pool is attractive but definitely not ‘child friendly’. The hotel does not have a beachfront but you are close to the main beach at Ao Nang. Great central location.

Our Opinion: A lovely, central resort.

Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort

A deluxe resort, set in 40 acres, on the quiet Khlong Moung beach, 25 minutes from Krabi town. The accommodation combines contemporary design with Thai influences, with views of either the lush mangrove garden or the Andaman Sea. The location is secluded, but the resort operates a shuttle to take you to the main area of Ao Nang.

Our Opinion: Not your typical Sheraton, but an excellent resort with great facilities.

The Tubkaak Boutique Resort

The Tubkaak Resort is a boutique style property set on the white sandy Tubkaak beach overlooking the Hong Islands, approximately 20 minutes from Ao Nang. There are 44 rooms, most in blocks of four set amongst lush vegetation around the free-form swimming pool and jacuzzi. This delightful secluded property is an ideal getaway and the perfect place to relax.

Our Opinion: An excellent boutique property on a beautiful beach, perfect for relaxation.

Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas

This brand new resort is located minutes from the centre of Ao Nang but is situated quietly within its own private bay. Enjoy stunning views of limestone formationas and pristine white sands lapped by crystal clear waters. You'll be spoilt for choice at the many restaurants and bars available, our favourite is 'on the rocks' the beachside bar and grill.

Our Opinion: A truly beautiful location and excellent service.

Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai

Nestling in the hills some 30 minutes north of Chiang Mai this resort is a marvellous place to luxuriate in peace and tranquility. The award-winning architecture in the style of a traditional Lanna Village is stunning and the landscaping enchanting. The Pavilions are spacious and beautiful polished teak wood predominates each with a private covered verandah.

Our Opinion: A lovely, relaxing, peaceful hotel to stay in.

The Legend Resort & Spa

Situated on the banks of Mae Kok River, The Legend is just a short distance from the centre of Chiang Rai. The resort offers outstanding views of the surrounding hills and lush riverside. Superior and deluxe studios are designed in contemporary Lanna style and are spacious and welcoming.

Our Opinion: A very friendly, welcoming resort with a host of amenities.

Royal Princess Chiang Mai

Situated right in the heart of Chiang Mai and the night market the Royal Princess Chiang Mai is a popular choice. Close to restaurants and bars, the hotel is a great base for exploring the city. Guest Rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished equipped with all modern facilities.

Our Opinion: Right in the heart of the night market area close to restaurants: a great base for exploring the city.

Lanna Farm

This large teak stilted house is situated near the small market town of Phrao in the rural heart of Northern Thailand, surrounded by rice fields and orchards, and ringed by tall mountains on three sides. Lanna farm was originally constructed from 5 houses collected from the area: with the addition of a new building the accomodation now provides ten large, private double bedrooms each with an electric fan, en suite toilet and hot shower and decorated in local style. There are large communal areas and the food is locally grown - great nothern Thai cooking.

Our Opinion: A beautiful setting, with excellent food and good options to explore the surrounding villages. Simply relax and enjoy the tranquility!

The Chedi Chiang Mai

The Chedi Chiang Mai, is an elegant retreat offering all the pleasures of resort living in the heart of a historical city. Located on the banksof the renowned Mae Ping River in central Chiang Mai, each of the resort's rooms and suites boast private courtyards, open balconys and breathtaking views.

Our Opinion: A very tastefully decorated property excellently located by the river close to the famous night markets. Our choice for central Chiang Mai.

Lisu Lodge

Only an hour's drive north of Chiang Mai, nestled in a rich green valley that time seems to have forgotten, is a Lisu tribal community that has managed to hold onto its cultural origins while benefiting from the progress of responsible tourism. A key factor in this success story was the establishment of the Lisu Lodge over thirteen years ago. Our Opinion: Excellent example of responsible tourism, affording a great insight into the northern Thai way of life, and a peaceful retreat.

Mandarin Oriental dhara Devi

Set on the edge of the town of Chiang Mai, amid 60 acres of lotus ponds and rice terraces, the 64 traditional Thai style villas offer exclusive and individual accommodations, appointed to the highest standards. The architecture and interior design is inspired by the historical Lanna kingdom, and many of the details have been hand-crafted by local artisans. The resort has four restaurants, offering French, Chinese International, and north and central Thai cuisine, and also offers outdoor tennis courts, a fitness centre and freeform pool, and the Dheva spa which is modelled on a Burmese palace and offers a wide range of treatments and therapies in its 3,100 square metres and 25 treatment rooms.

Our Opinion: An exclusive luxurious resort at which no expense has been spared in the details.

Mae Kok River Village

Situated on the banks of the Maekok River, with stunning views across the water and forested hills which form the border with Myanmar.

Imperial Golden Triangle Hotel

The Imperial Golden Triangle Resort, Chiang Saen, is situated above the Mekong and Ruak rivers, offering a spectacular view of the borders of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand.

Our Opinion: The spectacular views and friendly hospitality make this hotel a great place to stay in the north.
 

Ananatara Golden Triangle

Perched on a ridge overlooking the hills of Myanmar and Laos, Anantara's Golden Triangle resort is as enchanting as the region in which it is located. Explore the surrounding forest on an elephant. Spend the day rejuvenating at the Anantara Spa. The 90 room resort has a swimming pool; jacuzzi; Spa; 2 restaurants; bar; library; fitness centre with squash, tennis & table tennis; Thai cooking school; elephant treks; nature walks; mountain bike hire.

Out opinion: A great base for exploring or relaxing

Pimalai Resort and Spa

Nestling in Ban Kan Tiang Bay on the south-west side of the island, the Pimalai Resort is set in 100 acres of natural tropical surroundings. This boutique style hotel has only 82 rooms and suites and guests can enjoy the elegant accommodation with every luxury.

Our Opinion: Something Special - a secluded retreat, perfect for honeymooners.

Amari Trang Beach Resort

A relatively new beach resort in the unspoilt province of Trang, in Thailand’s south-west corner. It is close to Hat Chao Mai National Park and enjoys a superb view of tropical islands. Blending perfectly with the pristine environment, the Amari Trang Beach Resort & Spa is an elegant low rise property with 138 sea facing rooms offering every amenity and comfort.

Our Opinion: A welcome addition to the Trang region, this Resort offers great food and great service in a fabulous relaxing environment.

Layana Resort & Spa

Located on the idyllic west coast of Koh Lanta, the Layana Resort & Spa is a very special place. With only 50 rooms this boutique property faces a white sandy beach and is set against a picturesque backdrop of forested hills. Guestrooms are designed in contemporary Thai style and afford every luxury.

Our Opinion: If you're looking to get away from it all for pure relaxation then look no further.

Paradise Resort & Spa Koh Yao

Located between Krabi and Phuket on the lesser known Thai island of Koh Yao, The Paradise Beach Resort & Spa is a beautifully rustic boutique retreat. With only 60 rooms, the resort is a haven of tranquillity and relaxation.

Our Opinion: A hidden treasure - we love this property!

The Sarojin

Perfectly situated on a 3km stretch of white sandy beach, The Sarojin is designed in a contemporary Asian style merging with the natural landscape. With only 56 guest residences, this charming boutique resort is reminiscent of staying at a friend’s private estate. Choose from garden or pool residences or the Sarojin suites.

Our Opinion: One of our favourite hotels, we can’t recommend it enough.

Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort

A beautiful resort set in landscaped gardens, the Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort is the perfect place to escape to. With a contemporary low-rise Thai style the hotel offers a high level of comfort and relaxation in a tropical beachside resort. The 223 guestrooms and suites feature every luxury and are tastefully furnished.

Our Opinion: Beautiful luxurious Thai-style property.

Holiday Inn Resort Phi Phi

This charming, small hotel sits on what is probably Koh Phi Phi Don’s best beach. The bungalows are simple but comfortable set within attractive landscaped gardens. The resort is the perfect hideaway and is popular with honeymooners. There are extensive resort facilities for the more active or choose to simply relax in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

Our Opinion: A charming hotel in an excellent beachfront location.

Zeavola

Located on the northern tip of Phi Phi Don, Zeavola is the newest all-suite boutique resort and spa in the area. Situated directly on a white sand beach, the resort is accessible by speedboat from Phuket. The 52 deluxe villas are made in a traditional Thai style from wood and feature a host of luxury amenities. The beachfront suites offer a spacious living room together with a private garden.

Our Opinion: A perfect honeymoon resort, it might be a bit too isolated for some people.

Amari Emerald Cove Resort

The resort is located on the secluded Klong Prao Beach with kilometres of sand to enjoy. Guestrooms and suites have a choice of sea or mountain view view and are stylishly designed. The resort offers 3 restaurants and a lobby bar together with 24-hour room service.

Our Opinion: A prefect family destination, lovely, helpful staff, situated on a stunning beach.

Panviman Koh Chang Resort

Designed in traditional Thai Architecture set amidst tropical gardens, situated in a secluded position at the end of a 1.5 km dirt track road at the tip of Klong Prao Beach. Koh Chang is situated just off the coast of Trat Province, close to the border with Cambodia. It is now easily accessible by a 50-minute flight from Bangkok to Trat and a transfer by road and local ferry.

Our Opinion: A more remote hotel offering a serene environment for your time here.

Aiyapura

Aiyapura is located on a 40-acre beachfront property at Klongson Bay, in the north west of the island. Beautiful Thai style villas and suites are surrounded by tropical garden with ocean views. A secluded resort, it is especially recommended for couples and honeymooners.

Our Opinion: A perfect honeymoon location or a relaxing holiday for 2 – great location.

Anantara Resort and Spa

Located on the Gulf of Siam, Anantara Resort and Spa is located five minutes from Hua Hin itself. Built like a traditional Thai village, it offers a beautiful private sandy beach and fabulous gardens. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The hotel offers a regular shuttle to Hua Hin.

Our Opinion: A great location to allow welcome tranquility at Resort but still within easy reach of the town.

Hyatt Regency Hua Hin

A very smart resort combining the facilities you would expect from a deluxe Hyatt property with local Thai style and service. Guestrooms are set in clusters of low-rise buildings amongst a tropical landscaped garden and are light and airy inside. The resort itself is right on the beach, just 1km from the town centre.

Our Opinion: A warm welcome greets you at this fabulous property and excellent service comes as standard.

Sofitel Central Hua Hin

Developed from the 1920's railway hotel, this property is unique in Thailand. The large gardens full of topiary are a delight and the extensive use of wood internally give the hotel a gracious warmth. The beautiful colonial wing comprises of the original Railway Hotel.

Our Opinion: A firm favourite with our clients, it’s got bags of character and style.

Evason Hua Hin Resort

Located approximately 23 kilometers south of Hua Hin town, the Evason Hua Hin Resort is perfect for those of you that really like to relax on holiday. It is set amongst 20 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens filled with lotus ponds and waterways. Guestrooms feature a fresh and unconventional design and have bright, open-style bathrooms.

Our Opinion: One of our favourites! The famous Evason service and friendly welcome will ensure this is a hotel to remember and recommend.

Alila Cha-am

Set in the charming coastal town of Cha-Am, on the northwest coast of the Gulf of Thailand, this luxurious beachside resort is designed to be a sophisticated and contemporary destination. Situated only 163km South of Bangkok (2.5 hour drive), the area is surrounded by dense jungle and mountain ranges.
