Day 1 - Eastern and Oriental Express
Experience a panoramic view of the mystical landscapes of Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. The majesty and splendour of the E&O, with its elegant compartments, delicious cuisine and superb service, combined with the adventure of a journey through the heart of Asia, is a truly unique way to experience the full wonder of this remarkable region.
Accommodation on board is in one of three grades of beautifully appointed compartments: Pullman or State Compartments and Presidential Suites. Each grade has air-conditioning with an en-suite shower, washbasin and WC.
Chefs on board are internationally renowned for creating a tantalising variety of dishes, using the finest fresh seasonal ingredients. Lunch and dinner are served in the two Restaurant Cars, each lavishly decorated with rosewood and elm panelling.
As you journey through the tropical countryside, experience the ever-changing scenery from the open-sided Observation Car. This is perhaps the most popular carriage on board, providing a perfect opportunity to relax and socialise with your fellow passengers.
