Visit the scenic and mountainous north of Thailand with unspoiled hill tribe villages and beautiful waterfalls.
Day 1 - Chiang Mai - Lisu Lodge
Drive to the mountain temple of Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, outside Chiang Mai. Visit the White Hmong village of Ban Khun Chang Kien. After lunch, continue on to Aummarin Jungle Raft Elephant camp to enjoy such activities as elephant and ox-cart riding and river bamboo rafting. Enjoy dinner at the Lodge.

After breakfast, leave Lisu Lodge north to Chiang Dao via Mae Malai. Arrive Chiang Dao caves, then continue to local restaurant for lunch. Next proceed over spectacular mountain roads to Doi Ang Khang, a large botanical research station. Continue to a traditional high altitude Palong village (Nor Lae). Visit these friendly people with their colorful costumes and then drive to Mae Kok River Village for dinner.

Depart from the hotel after breakfast for Doi Mae Salong and visit the hill tribes and Chinese market. Visit the Akha Lorcha and the Yao village of Lao Sip. Continue to Mae Chan on to Mae Sai, a border town to Myanmar and have lunch at a local restaurant in Mae Sai. Proceed to the Golden Triangle for check-in at your chosen hotel.
