HALONG BAY ABOARD A JUNK

Featuring: Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay

Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site, consists of thousands of islets of different shapes and sizes extending across some 1500 square kilometers of sea to the east of Hanoi. These picturesque outcrops have been likened to Guilin in China and Krabi in Thailand; because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by man. The exceptional aesthetic values of this site are complimented by its great biological interest. Stay overnight on a traditional-style craft with its red sails and 8 cabins each with en-suite WC and hot shower. There is a dining area for 16, diesel-powered engines (the sails are for show) and modern satellite navigation systems.

Day 1 - Halong Bay

A.M depart by road for Halong Bay (c. 3 hours) to board the Huong Hai Junk around noon. After lunch cruise and explore the beauty of the bay: Heaven Cave, Wooden Stake, Fighting Cock and The Dog islands. Time on a beach before dinner and overnight on board.

Day 2 - Bai Tu Long Bay

This morning visit Bai Tu Long Bay, The Toad and Bai Tho Mountain. After lunch retrn to the pier and then to Hanoi.
